Founded by Douglas Dumas, former Bass player for legendary blues artist, Ronnie Lovejoy and guitarist for Southern Soul super star, Marvin Sease, dRonyMusic Group™ has launched a campaign that is dedicated to maintaining original Southern Soul flavor while also incorporating new ideas.
Armed with an education earned by touring with the likes of Ronnie Lovejoy, Marvin Sease, and Steve Perry, Dumas has developed a style for song writing, studio engineering, and marketing that brings forth the key elements of his vision for dRonyMusic Group.™
dRonyMusic Group™ has a primary focus on Southern Soul, and Southern Gospel music partly because of the clean and sincere atmosphere it generates; and, partly because it is deeply embedded in the hearts and souls of so many "old school" musicians and music lovers. We want to keep it alive and encourage future generations to continue building their music from it.
Some of our projects, include I Want To Love You Tonight by Lois Hicks, Miss You Wanna Kiss You by Melanie Dumas, and Baby I'm Sorry by dRony Dumas
Our most recent project include The "Tyte Rhythmz" Band of Opelika, Alabama, "Big" Grimmett of Auburn, Alabama, and Susie Ann Blackwells featuring Oscar Tony Jr. Tyte Rhythmz is one of the fastest growing musical organization in East Alabama. Founded by Steve Jackson in November 2008, Tyte Rhythmz is already showing great recording and marketing potential. Working with Tyte Rhythmz is a group of young poets who are making tremendous enhancements to their program. Some of the poets listed here can be previewed on this site by clicking their names. They are, Amberly [Ambi], Ariel [Ari], and Jackie [Rt] just to name a few. "Big" Grimmett is one of the most prominent musicians in the Auburn/Opelika community. Having performed with various professional groups during his lifetime, and having a strong gospel foundation from which to build his music is a tremendous asset for "Big."
