Guitarist... prefers sweet Southern Soul Music and... sweet Southern Soul Women
dRony (Douglas Dumas) started playing guitar for The Dynamic Twin Spirituals in Opelika, Alabama. What he learned during that time sustained and allowed him to expand well enough that he was able to perform professionally later. Those professional engagements included, Bass/band leader for blues legend Ronnie Lovejoy, Guitar/Bass/band leader for Southern Soul super star, Marvin Sease, and occasion performances with Southern Soul artist, Steve Perry. He formed his own organization, dRonyMusic Group in 2005. When the opportunity to work with Tight Rhythms developed, dRony welcomed the opportunity to work with Steve Jackson again (they previously worked together with the Dynamic Twin Spirituals). dRony's music preference is quite simple... sweet Southern Soul Music.
